Van Ostaeyen Sofie

PhD student WP2
Project Researcher
UGent

Sofie graduated as a primary school teacher in June 2016. Because of her passion for education, she wanted to expand her knowledge and in September 2016 she started the master's program ‘Instructional and Educational Sciences' at the University of Antwerp. At the same time, she also started working at a primary school. After a few months, she decided to switch to a job at an educational publishing company. There she worked on the development of (digital) teaching and learning materials for primary school. After 3 years, in June 2019, she completed the master's programme and decided to focus on scientific research. The SCAFFOLD project really attracted her because it combines 2 of her main interests: medical education and digital innovation. Since January 2020, Sofie is a PhD student at Ghent University within the department of Educational Sciences and connected to the research group Edum@st. She is responsible for work package 2.
