Steven Weyers (° 1970) is a gynecologist and head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, UZ Gent.

After completing his medical studies at Ghent University, he completed his specialization in gynaecology and obstetrics at the University Hospital in Ghent and the Catharina Hospital in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. In 2009 he obtained a doctorate in medical sciences with a dissertation on 'the role of the gynaecologist in the treatment and follow-up of individuals with gender dysphoria'.

During his education and professional career, he developed a special interest and expertise in endoscopic surgery (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy), cervical pathology and urogynaecology (prolapse and incontinence). His current interest is in fertility surgery, premalign lesions of the cervix, birth control and urogynecology.

He is chairman of the university internship committee of the faculty of medicine at UGent. From that position he is particularly interested in the development of a high-performance digital portfolio.
